§ 2 General purposes of processing
We use the personal data to ensure a smooth connection of the website, ensure a comfortable use of our website, evaluate the system security and stability and for other administrative purposes. The legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest follows from the data collection purposes just listed.
§ 3 Collection and storage of personal data
When you access our website, the browser used on your terminal device automatically sends information to the server of our website. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is collected without your intervention and stored until automated deletion:
- Browser type/ browser version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Host name of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request
We use cookies that are necessary to operate the website according to our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f GDPR.) and §25 German Telecommunications-Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG).
In addition, we use cookies and analysis services when you visit our website, if you consent. You can find more detailed explanations of this under points 5 of this data protection declaration.
Unless specifically stated, we store personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes pursued. In some cases, the legislator stipulates the retention of personal data, for example in tax law, commercial law or the German Fiscal Code. In these cases, we only continue to store the data for these statutory purposes, but do not process it in any other way and delete it after the statutory retention period has expired.
§ 4 Transfer of data
Your data will be transferred to our IT provider which is a contracted data processor according to Art. 28 GDPR.
A transfer of your personal data to third parties for purposes other than the website operations and those listed below does not take place.
In addition, we may disclose your personal data to third parties if:
- you have given your express consent to this in accordance with Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. a GDPR,
- the disclosure is necessary for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims pursuant to Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. f GDPR and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding interest worthy of protection in the non-disclosure of your data,
- in the event that there is a legal obligation for the disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. c GDPR, as well as
- this is legally permissible and necessary according to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b GDPR for the processing of contractual relationships with you.
§ 5 Tracking Tools
The tracking measures listed below and used by us are carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a GDPR. With your consent to the data processing, you give us the opportunity to ensure a demand-oriented design and continuous optimization of our website by evaluating your user behaviour. We use the tracking measure to statistically record the use of our website and evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by opening the “Privacy Preference” window. You can find more information about the processing of your personal data in the corresponding tracking tool.
Google Tag Manager
We use the Google Tag Manager on our website. This is a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Via the Google Tag Manager, we can centrally integrate and manage code sections of tracking tools that we use on our website (Google Analytics). Thus, we use the Google Tag Manager to better organize and manage our goal of being able to advertise our offer in a more targeted manner.
The legal basis of the processing is your consent acc. to Art. 6 para 1 p. 1 lit. a GDPR (Privacy Preference Setting in category “Functional”).
Unless specifically stated, we store personal data only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes pursued.
We would also like to point out that Google is a provider from a third country pursuant to Artt. 44 et seq. GDPR. This means that Google may transfer data to a country outside the European Union and/or the European Economic Area. Thus, there is a possibility that your personal data will be processed in the USA. As safeguards, we concluded Standard Contactual Clauses according to EU standards.

Google Analytics
This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is
Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website such as

LinkedIn Insight tag
This website uses the LinkedIn Insights Tag provided by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland. The legal basis of the processing is your consent acc. to Art. 6 para 1 p. 1 lit. a GDPR (Privacy Preference Setting in category “Statistics”).
This tag is used for conversion tracking and retargeting services. For this purpose, cookies are stored and processed. The Cookies expire after 10 years at the latest. Lufthansa Group Digital Hangar GmbH and LinkedIn Unlimited Company act as Joint Controllers according to art. 26 GDPR. LinkedIn provides aggregated data to Lufthansa Group Digital Hangar. LinkedIn Members can exercise their data subject rights through their account settings or by reaching out directly to LinkedIn. LinkedIn agrees to take responsibility under the GDPR for the provision of Page Insights and will comply with all applicable obligations under the GDPR with respect to its processing of Page Insights (including, but not limited to, Articles 12-22 and Articles 32-34 of the GDPR). This means that LinkedIn will, among other things, ensure that Members are informed about the data being processed and support Members’ right to access and deletion. LinkedIn decides in its sole discretion how to comply with its obligations under this Addendum. The leading data protection authority for this processing is the Irish Data Protection Commission. Google Ads
This website uses the GoogleAds service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. By using this technology, we are able to track the conversion of Google ads. The legal basis of the processing is your consent acc. to Art. 6 para 1 p. 1 lit. a GDPR (Privacy Preference Setting in category “Marketing”).
In some cases, data may be transferred to a third country. As safeguards, we concluded Standard Contactual Clauses according to EU standards with Google Ireland.

§ 7 Right of objection
Insofar as your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. f GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR, insofar as there are grounds for doing so that arise from your particular situation or the objection is directed against direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right of objection, which is implemented by us without specifying a particular situation.
§ 8 LinkedIn Page Insights
If you visit Lufthansa Group Digital Hangar’s LinkedIn Page, LinkedIn processes your personal data to provide aggregated statistics (so called “page insights”) to our organization. LinkedIn processes information on how you interact with a Page, (e.g., whether you view or visit a Page). In addition, LinkedIn processes data that you provide on your profile, such as your job function, country, industry, seniority, company size, and employment status data. This data is aggregated and provided to organizations as Page Insights which assist in better understanding trends and demographics of those who interact with our page.
LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company and Lufthansa Group Digital Hangar are joint controllers regarding Page Insights provided to our organization. The legal basis for the data processing is our legitimiate interest in providing and optimizing an adequate LinkedIn page (Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f GDPR). LinkedIn only processes and retains personal data for Page Insights in accordance with its User Agreement and Privacy Policy.
LinkedIn agrees to take responsibility under the GDPR for the provision of Page Insights and will comply with all applicable obligations under the GDPR with respect to its processing of Page Insights (including, but not limited to, Articles 12-22 and Articles 32-34 of the GDPR).
