Data protection information

Lufthansa Group Digital Hangar GmbH, as a processing entity in the sense of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), takes the protection of your privacy and your personal data very seriously. We appreciate your visit to our website and your associated interest in our company and our products or services and would like you to also feel secure with regard to the protection of your personal data. As a rule, you can use our website without providing any personal data. According to Art. 4 No. 1 DSGVO, personal data are all information relating to an identified or identifiable person, such as the name, address and date of birth. Even pseudonymous data that we cannot assign to you directly, e.g. via a name or an e-mail address, are personal data.
The collection, storage and processing of personal data is in accordance with the legal regulations, in particular those of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the Telecommunications Telemedia Data Protection Act (TTDSG) and the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation. We can assure you that we collect, store and process your personal data exclusively for the purpose of the functional provision of this website and its contents and services. In each case, these processes are only carried out within the scope of legitimate interest according to Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. f DSGVO or if another permissible circumstance exists. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent. We would like to point out that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) can have security gaps. A complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

§ 2 General purposes of processing

We use the personal data to ensure a smooth connection of the website, ensure a comfortable use of our website, evaluate the system security and stability and for other administrative purposes. The legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest follows from the data collection purposes just listed.

 

§ 3 Collection and storage of personal data

When you access our website, the browser used on your terminal device automatically sends information to the server of our website. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is collected without your intervention and stored until automated deletion:

  • Browser type/ browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request

We use cookies that are necessary to operate the website according to our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f GDPR.) and §25 German Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act (TTDSG).

In addition, we use cookies and analysis services when you visit our website, if you consent. You can find more detailed explanations of this under points 5 of this data protection declaration.

Unless specifically stated, we store personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes pursued. In some cases, the legislator stipulates the retention of personal data, for example in tax law, commercial law or the German Fiscal Code. In these cases, we only continue to store the data for these statutory purposes, but do not process it in any other way and delete it after the statutory retention period has expired.

 

§ 4 Transfer of data

Your data will be transferred to our IT provider which is a contracted data processor according to Art. 28 GDPR.

A transfer of your personal data to third parties for purposes other than the website operations and those listed below does not take place.

In addition, we may disclose your personal data to third parties if:

  • you have given your express consent to this in accordance with Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. a GDPR,
  • the disclosure is necessary for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims pursuant to Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. f GDPR and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding interest worthy of protection in the non-disclosure of your data,
  • in the event that there is a legal obligation for the disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. c GDPR, as well as
  • this is legally permissible and necessary according to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b GDPR for the processing of contractual relationships with you.

 

§ 5 Tracking Tools

The tracking measures listed below and used by us are carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a GDPR. With your consent to the data processing, you give us the opportunity to ensure a demand-oriented design and continuous optimization of our website by evaluating your user behaviour. We use the tracking measure to statistically record the use of our website and evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by opening the “Privacy Preference” window.  Google Tag Manager

We use the Google Tag Manager on our website. This is a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Via the Google Tag Manager, we can centrally integrate and manage code sections of tracking tools that we use on our website (Google Analytics). Thus, we use the Google Tag Manager to better organize and manage our goal of being able to advertise our offer in a more targeted manner.

We would also like to point out that Google is a provider from a third country pursuant to Artt. 44 et seq. GDPR. This means that Google may transfer data to a country outside the European Union and/or the European Economic Area. Thus, there is a possibility that your personal data will be processed in the USA. As safeguards, we concluded Standard Contactual Clauses according to EU standards.

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is
Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website such as

Facebook Pixel

This website uses the Facebook Pixel provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. The legal basis of the processing is your consent acc. to Art. 6 para 1 p. 1 lit. a GDPR (Privacy Preference Setting in category “Statistics”).

Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. and Lufthansa Group Digital Hangar GmbH are Joint Controllers regarding the processing of data through Facebook Pixel and have concluded a respective joint controller addendum. Information required by Article 13 para. 1 lit. a and lit. b GDPR can be found at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy. There you can also find further information on how Meta Ireland processes personal data, including the legal basis that Meta Platforms Ireland relies on and the ways to exercise data subject rights against Meta Ireland. Lufthansa Digital Hangar GmbH is responsible for providing you with the relevant information according to Article 13 GDPR and Meta Platforms Ireland is responsible for enabling data subjects’ rights under Articles 15-20 GDPR with regard to the personal data stored by Meta Ireland after the joint processing.

In order to analyse the website, to track ad targeting conversion and to measure ad activities, cookies are stored, and respective data is processed. The cookies expire either at the end of the session or after one year at the latest.

In some cases, data may be transferred to a third country. As safeguards, we concluded Standard Contractual Clauses according to EU standards with Meta Platforms Ireland.

LinkedIn Insight tag

This website uses the LinkedIn Insights Tag provided by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland. The legal basis of the processing is your consent acc. to Art. 6 para 1 p. 1 lit. a GDPR (Privacy Preference Setting in category “Statistics”).

This tag is used for conversion tracking and retargeting services. For this purpose, cookies are stored and processed. The Cookies expire after 10 years at the latest.

Insofar as your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. f GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR, insofar as there are grounds for doing so that arise from your particular situation or the objection is directed against direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right of objection, which is implemented by us without specifying a particular situation.
