Lufthansa Group Digital Hangar GmbH, as a processing entity in the sense of the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), takes the protection of your privacy and your personal data very seriously. We appreciate your visit to our website and your associated interest in our company and our products or services and would like you to also feel secure with regard to the protection of your personal data. As a rule, you can use our website without providing any personal data. According to Art. 4 No. 1 DSGVO, personal data are all information relating to an identified or identifiable person, such as the name, address and date of birth. Even pseudonymous data that we cannot assign to you directly, e.g. via a name or an e-mail address, are personal data.
The collection, storage and processing of personal data is in accordance with the legal regulations, in particular those of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the Telecommunications Telemedia Data Protection Act (TTDSG) and the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation. We can assure you that we collect, store and process your personal data exclusively for the purpose of the functional provision of this website and its contents and services. In each case, these processes are only carried out within the scope of legitimate interest according to Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. f DSGVO or if another permissible circumstance exists. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent. We would like to point out that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) can have security gaps. A complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

 

§ 1 Responsible party within the meaning of Art. 4 No. 7 DSGVO

is the responsible party for the processing of personal data within the meaning of the DSGVO and other national data protection laws of the member states of the European Union as well as other data protection regulations.

 

§ 2 General purposes of processing

We use the personal data to ensure a smooth connection of the website, ensure a comfortable use of our website, evaluate the system security and stability and for other administrative purposes. The legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO. Our legitimate interest follows from the data collection purposes just listed. Under no circumstances do we use your personal data for the purpose of drawing conclusions about you as a person. It may also happen that we need your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. a DSGVO to fulfill the above purposes. In such cases, we will only activate the associated tools after your consent. Thus, it is possible that you may not be able to use all functions of this website without consent. Finally, it may also be possible that we process your data on the basis of a contract initiation or contract performance pursuant to Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. b DSGVO. This is the case if you contact us by e-mail or wish to apply for a job with us. The general purpose behind this processing is to respond to your inquiry. § 3 Collection and storage of personal data

When you access our website, the browser used on your terminal device automatically sends information to the server of our website. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is collected without your intervention and stored until automated deletion:

  • Browser type/ browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request

In addition, we use cookies and analysis services when you visit our website. You can find more detailed explanations of this under points 5 and 6 of this data protection declaration. Unless specifically stated, we store personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes pursued. In some cases, the legislator stipulates the retention of personal data, for example in tax law, commercial law or the German Fiscal Code. In these cases, we only continue to store the data for these statutory purposes, but do not process it in any other way and delete it after the statutory retention period has expired.

 

§ 4 Transfer of data

A transfer of your personal data to third parties, a member state of the European Union, another contracting state of the Agreement on the European Economic Area or to a third country for purposes other than those listed below does not take place.
We will only disclose your personal data to third parties if:

  • you have given your express consent to this in accordance with Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. a DSGVO,
  • the disclosure is necessary for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims pursuant to Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. f DSGVO and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding interest worthy of protection in the non-disclosure of your data,
  • in the event that there is a legal obligation for the disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. c DSGVO, as well as
  • this is legally permissible and necessary according to Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b for the processing of contractual relationships with you.

 

§ 5 Cookies

We use cookies on our website. A cookie is a small file that is stored locally on the user’s computer when visiting the website. A cookie does not cause any damage to your terminal device, it does not contain viruses, Trojans or other malware. For more information, please visit:

The tracking measures listed below and used by us are carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a DSGVO. With your consent to the data processing, you give us the opportunity to ensure a demand-oriented design and continuous optimization of our website by evaluating your user behavior. We use the tracking measure to statistically record the use of our website and evaluate it for the purpose of optimizing our offer. We will only switch on the analysis tool after your active consent, before that your data will not be processed by the analysis service provider. Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies” (see section 5). The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website such as

  • operating system used
  • Referrer URL (the previously visited page)

are usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, your IP address will be shortened by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with any other data held by Google.

§ 8 Online job application

We are pleased to offer you the opportunity to apply for a job through our website. You can contact us using the application form. In doing so, the following data will be collected and processed electronically for the purpose of handling the application process – without this provision, we will not be able to respond to your application, or at best only to a limited extent.
In our application process, we collect this personal data from you:

  • Address
  • last name, first name
  • e-mail address
  • Your telephone number
  • Application documents (cover letter, resume, references)

For the application process, your personal data will be transmitted to the Lufthansa Group (by e-mail). The legal basis for the transmission is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. b DSGVO.
If, after the application procedure, an employment contract is concluded between you and the Lufthansa Group Digital Hangar GmbH after the application process, we will store the data you provided during the application in your personnel file for the purpose of the usual organizational and administrative process.
If we should reject your application, we will automatically delete the data submitted to us three months after notification of the rejection. Data cannot be deleted if the data requires longer storage due to legal requirements.
However, you also have the option to consent to a longer storage of your data if you are interested in being included in an applicant or interest database. In this case, your data will be processed on the basis of your consent. You may revoke your consent at any time pursuant to Art. 7 (3) DSGVO with effect for the future by notifying Lufthansa Group Digital Hangar GmbH in writing.

 

§ 9 Integration of third party content

Google Tag Manager

We use the Google Tag Manager on our website. This is also a service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre, Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA. We will refer to the service provider as “Google” below.
Via the Google Tag Manager, we can centrally integrate and manage code sections of various tracking tools that we use on our website (we only use Google Analytics, more under section § 6). Thus, we use the Google Tag Manager to better organize and manage our goal of being able to advertise our offer in a more targeted manner.
The legal basis of the processing is you Art. 6 para 1 p. 1 lit. a DSGVO. We will set the Google Tag Manager only after your consent, which we have obtained by means of cookie banner.
Unless specifically stated, we store personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes pursued.
We would also like to point out that Google is a provider from a third country pursuant to Artt. 44 et seq. DSGVO. This means that Google comes from a country outside the European Union and/or the European Economic Area. Thus, there is a possibility that your personal data will be processed in the USA. The possibility of access to your personal data lies exclusively with Google, we can not influence the processing.

Google reCAPTCHA

We use a service on our website to verify and prevent interactions through automated access to this site. The service is called “Google reCAPTCHA” and is offered by Google Ireland Limited, Gorden House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We will abbreviate the provider as “Google” in the following.
By implementing the service on our website, Google can determine through the reCAPTCHA input box from which website and with which IP address a request is sent.
As a result, other personal data may also be processed which are necessary for the verification.
The legal basis for the processing of personal data is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

  • To request information about your personal data processed by us in accordance with Art. 15 DSGVO. In particular, you can request information about the processing purposes, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or objection, the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling, and, if applicable, meaningful information about its details;
  • pursuant to Art. 16 DSGVO, to demand without undue delay the correction of inaccurate or completion of your personal data stored by us;
  • pursuant to Art. 17 DSGVO, to request the erasure of your personal data stored by us, unless the processing is necessary for the exercise of the right to freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation on grounds of public interest, or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims;
  • according to Art. 18 DSGVO, to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data, insofar as the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful, but you object to its erasure and we no longer need the data, but you need it for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims or you have objected to the processing in accordance with Art. 21 DSGVO;
  • pursuant to Art. 20 DSGVO, to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, common and machine-readable format or to request that it be transferred to another controller;
  • in accordance with Art. 7 (3) DSGVO, to revoke your consent once given to us at any time. This has the consequence that we may no longer continue the data processing, which was based on this consent, for the future; and
  • to complain to a supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 DSGVO. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or workplace or our company headquarters for this purpose.

§ 11 Right of objection

Insofar as your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) p. 1 lit. f DSGVO, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data pursuant to Art. 21 DSGVO, insofar as there are grounds for doing so that arise from your particular situation or the objection is directed against direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right of objection, which is implemented by us without specifying a particular situation.
You can send the revocation or your objection in writing to us once a year free of charge by post. You will only incur the postage costs incurred.

We make every effort to ensure the security of your data within the framework of the applicable data protection laws and technical possibilities.
To protect your personal data against third parties, accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss and destruction or against unauthorized access, we use appropriate technical and organizational security measures. Your personal data is transmitted encrypted with us. We use the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) coding system. However, we would like to point out that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. when communicating by e-mail) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
